Theme: Rise Up and Praise Him
Administrator: Pastor Paul Steinberg pastors@charter.net
We will be spending a couple days thinking about why and how we worship together. We will be exposed to and participate in several worship styles and be given opportunities to discuss what we think and why. Teens and leaders can take home tools and appreciation for the worship they have in their own congregations and have tools to rise up and praise the Lord in their future Christian congregations.
Logo: (above) The Red Arrow symbolizes the first part of worship, that through the red blood of Jesus, God comes to us and makes us his children by word and sacraments. The Green arrow is the response God produces in us to go, rise up and praise him.
It is home to the largest indoor waterpark in the U.S. and has tons of meeting space and break out area -- the largest in Wisconsin
Attendees will be staying Village Suites: [from the Kalahari contract] Each Village Suite includes three bedrooms; one with a king bed and two with 2 queen beds. Three bathrooms, one with whirlpool tub. 27" television in each bedroom. Living room group with queen sofa sleeper, fireplace and 32" television. Fully equipped kitchen and dining room set. Patio/balcony with furniture.
Dates: July 17-19, 2008 -- Thursday through Saturday
Cost: $290
– $30- $40 of this approximately will go toward a Mission Partners project the teens will choose at the rally
– Teens will also be invited to bring additional funds for this project. If we get 400 to come to the rally that will be about $12,000 we can send to a project. The question was asked, “How come it was so easy to raise $600 per teen to go the Orlando for the rally, when we can’t raise $30 per person for the WELS missions?” This can be a small way of saying we can do both.
