5-4-1

Meet 5-4-1

Five Voices for One Savior

The group began modestly in response to a need for a male choir at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Medford, Wisconsin.
Our repertoire consists of religious selections that feature words to live by and favorite hymns such as
"Abide With Me" and "Just As I Am"
We also add a touch of fun with such classics as an acappella version of "The Lion Sleeps Tonight".
We'll add the instruments to other songs like "I'm A Believer" and "My Maria" and
some original pieces like "His Love" (Click and watch the You Tube video) and "Searching For A Savior".

  • Dean Tesch - Lead Guitar.  Dean helped to start the group and shared his love of music through teaching young students how to play the guitar.  He also adds supportive vocals.
  • Carey Hartwig - Bass Guitar.  Carey joined the group as the sound engineer.  After many years of playing acoustic guitar, she learned the bass guitar.  She also lends vocal support.
  • Randy Waldhart - Drums (Back Right)  If you remember "The Waldharts", then you'll recall Randy as the drummer of that group.  He'll also take the lead on several of the group's selections.  Randy and his wife, Kay, are members of Zion Lutheran Church, Stetsonville, WI.
  • Terry Kallenbach - Vocals (Back Center)  You may have met Terry as he shares his talent singing karaoke at The Brass Rail in Medford.  Terry leads some of the group's favorites such as "Shout".
  •  Fred Ebert - Vocals (Back Left)  You'll see Fred take the lead on several of our selections.  He and his wife Kitty have written some of the pieces 5-4-1 performs.

Our Mission

Redeemer Lutheran Church, Tomahawk                                                      Lights of Love celebration, 2007

Each of the group's members are devoted to their families and believe strongly in the teachings of the Bible, thus the name
5 voices 4-1 Savior

We enjoy what we do and prove that Christians can have fun and share God's word at the same time.

Over the years, the group has developed several acappella pieces as well as add guitars, drums and tight harmonies appeal to listeners of all ages.  The group has drafted a Service of Praise which would be appropriate for special services, outdoor events, etc.
