Wish List Our school is always in need of items not supplied by the budget. This month we are asking for donations of pencils and erasers as a reward for papers well done and any colored copy machine paper. No one is required to donate; but if you can, please bring these items in to the school office. Thank you.
ALSO, we are looking for volunteers over the lunch hour to set out milk and silverware for our students from 11:10 a.m. until noon. Talk with Lori Reinhart if you would like to help out.
ILSA Our parents’ organization will hold its first meeting Monday, September 13th at 6:00 in the gymnasium. A short Bible study will begin the meeting. We will have guest speaker, Eliza Decker, speak to us on her specialty, speech and language. Also we will introduce officers and have an overview of the upcoming year regarding fundraisers and projects.
Attention: Soccer Players. We are in need of more players. In order to have a team, we need to have 11 players on the field. Currently, we ten players. Any student in grades 4-7 is eligible to play. Students, if you have even the slightest interest, please consider joining us for the season.
If you were unable to attend the ILS Open House and have not had a chance to sign the Emergency Contact Information Form, the form is being sent home with your child. It is very important that you check over the information on the form, make any changes or additions, sign the form and return it to school. Immunization records and information sheets need to be turned in to the school office. If parents have any updates, please make sure the school is notified. Varicella (Chickenpox) is required for grades Pre-K-8. Vaccine or disease history date are now required. A waiver may be granted but must be on file at the school.
ILS Scrip Program. ILS purchases gift certificates from area businesses at a discount ranging from 4-10%. The certificates are then sold at face value leaving a percentage given back by the merchant. Certificates and gift cards are available from the businesses you already do business with such as County Market, Medford Café, Mc Donald’s and Cost Cutters. Not only does scrip benefit ILS, anyone participating in the ILS scrip program can designate 50% of the profits to be used toward 100% of an ILS student’s tuition. A brochure explaining the scrip shopping programs is available in the church lobby at the scrip display, along with order forms. Scrip gift certificates may be purchased from Carey Hartwig (678-2822) and Donna Goodman (748-3541)
Call One is a new contact service our school will be using to communicate with our families concerning meetings, school closings and other important issues concerning your student. Please return the Call One Contact Sheet by Friday, September 3 with your preference of contact numbers and information.
Volleyball Players ALWAYS check this newsletter for the most up-to-date information on games as this information seems to always be changing.
