The mission of Immanuel Lutheran Choir shall be to spread the Gospel through music by joining of kindred spirits in song, and by leading our congregation in singing of Psalms and unfamiliar hymns as well as to serve as evangelist in our community by using our musical talents to share the joy of salvation in Jesus, our Savior.

• We had an enjoyable day singing to our
friends at Country Gardens, Memorial Nursing and Rehabilitation
Center, Memorial Hospital, Our House and Deerview Meadows
on April 13th. You could see the excitement in their eyes as we
proclaimed God's love to them through our music.
• We will be singing one more time this choir year during a
church service. On May 11th in the 10:30 a.m. service, we will
sing for Pentecost Sunday. We will be singing a hymn entitled
"To God The Holy Spirit Let Us Pray" with the congregation, an
anthem called "Come, Holy Quickening Spirit" during the offering
and the piece that we traditionally sing to close out the choir
year - "A Closing Prayer". We will be singing from the
balcony. Thanks to Brittany H., Fred E. and Dean T. for their
musical accompaniment.
• Our choir picnic will be held on May 14th. Anyone who assisted the choir this year and all choir members and their families are invited to this event that will be held at the church fellowship hall. Social time will be at 6:00 p.m. with the meal at 6:30 p.m. Come and enjoy some great food and fellowship that evening.• Do you know who our longest serving choir director was? Following is a series of letters that contain the answers to all three of Tim's TOADs for this choir year. The letters are arranged randomly and are mixed among all three words. I then added five additional letters randomly in the series that are just extra letters. If you remember the other two answers, all you need to do is rearrange the remaining letters, delete the five that don't fit, and you got the answer. Oh, and tell me the two previous Tim's TOADs in addition to this one (at the end of any Wednesday choir rehearsal) and get $3.00 added to the prize offered.
