Membership

We wish everyone would desire to be a part of our family and a member at Immanuel.  With our size congregation it's easy for people to get lost or not feel a part of our ministry.  Therefore becoming a member of Immanuel takes some time and involves some steps that helps the new person get to know people and become involved. 

The requirements for becoming a member of Immanuel:

• Visit Immanuel worship and establish a steady pattern of worship (3 months or so total before becoming a member)  
  
• Get to know or review what the Bible says and learn what Immanuel and the WELS believe.  This is accomplished by an individual or group Bible class, or even an on-line Bible Information Course.  (contact our pastor to see what is currently being offered) 
  
• Now having gotten to know Immanuel, a person decides if they still wish to proceed with membership, and talks to our pastor. 
  
• A letter is sent by Immanuel to any current church that considers the person under their spiritual to inform them of the membership change. 
  
• New members are then officially welcomed after a worship service and are encourage to remain faithful.
